“Colston Bassett cheese is crafted with passion, made for pleasure.”

“Aged to perfection, savoured with delight”

“We’re crackers about cheese!”

"The tangy taste complements brunches, lunches, and dinners - perfect for picnics and so much more."

The perfect Stilton from Colston Bassett should be a rich cream colour with blue veining spread throughout. The texture of the cheese is smooth and creamy with a mellow flavour and no sharp acidic taste from the blue. The cheese is best eaten at around 12 weeks but this varies from cheese to cheese as each one is an individual.

Melt in the mouth perfection is what Colston Bassett delivers. Popular throughout the year, but particularly at Christmas; as Stilton is such a versatile cheese – it’s essential on a festive cheeseboard but also a tasty additional to a summer salad or also enjoyed with sweet dishes as a partner to chocolate and/or ginger.

Absolutely a cheese to experiment with – view recipe ideas at www.stiltoncheese.com.

“Keeping your cheese fresh, bite after bite …”

We recommend keeping our Stilton in the refrigerator wrapped in wax paper.

However, to enjoy our cheese at its best – remove it from the refrigerator a couple of hours before eating, loosen the wrapping and let the cheese warm to room temperature which improves both texture and flavour.

Helpfully, Stilton can also can be frozen if you find you have too much and want to save some for later, in this case, it should slowly be thawed in the refrigerator overnight.

“Our cheeses have that little extra something that changes everything”…….

Colston Bassett

Stilton from Colston Bassett is a rich cream colour with blue veining spread throughout. The texture of the cheese is smooth and creamy with a mellow flavour and no sharp acidic taste from the blue.

The cheese is best eaten at around 12 weeks but this varies from cheese to cheese as each one is an individual. Melt in the mouth perfection is what Colston Bassett delivers and goes particularly well with dessert wines like Port, Sauternes, or Madeira, which enhance its sweetness and balance the tangy blue veins.

For a savoury twist, try pairing it with a bold red wine like Malbec or a rich stout. Add fresh pears, honeycomb, or walnuts to complete the experience.

Shropshire Blue

With its strong, sharp flavour, it is similar to other Blue cheeses such as Stilton, with a delicious tangy, peppery flavour and crumbly creamy texture - goes well with sweet wines like Port or Sauternes, and crisp white wines like Riesling or Sancerre.

It also complements various beers, particularly robust ales, stouts, and porters..
